LODGING
Please note that a block of rooms is being held for our group at Legacy Lodge and Conference Center for the nights of 30 November and 1 December 2011, at the special meeting rate of $77.00 plus 13% tax plus a daily Resort Fee* of $12.00 ($100.57), single or double occupancy. This rate will be honored three (3) days before and three (3) days after the above dates based on availability.

Check-in time is 4:00 p.m., and check-out time: 11:00 a.m.

Gate Fee: There is a $5.00 per car entrance fee to the Resort property. Payment of this Gate Fee is valid for the duration of the Meeting.

* Resort Fee covers gratuities for bellmen, doormen, maids, valet parking, local phone calls, 800 access numbers, daily newspaper delivery, in-room coffee, unlimited of fitness center and wireless high-speed Internet service throughout the hotel.

RESERVATIONS
Reservations for both federal and non-federal attendees are being handled by Brian Jackson (bjackson@ucar.edu) at UCAR-JOSS via a rooming list with the hotel. You will not be able to call the hotel yourself and make a reservation at this rate.

UPDATE: The deadline for all attendees to get their reservation dates to Brian is COB Wednesday, 23 November 2011. After this date, reservations will be accepted on a space- and rate-available basis only.

Please forward your arrival and departures dates and any special hotel requests to Brian Jackson (bjackson@ucar.edu) as soon as possible. Brian will send you your confirmation number closer to the meeting date. You will be responsible for your own room and tax charges as well as all incidental expenses, including the Resort Fee and the Gate Fee.

Guarantee: Your reservation is guaranteed, so there is no need for you to call the hotel with your credit card information prior to your arrival. You will be asked to provide your credit card at check-in.

Cancellations: Please contact Brian (bjackson@ucar.edu) as soon as possible to cancel a reservation.

PER DIEM
The FY12 GSA CONUS M&IE rate for Buford, GA, is $46.00.

WORKING LUNCH
A working lunch will be provided on Thursday, 1 December. It is assumed that all meeting participants will attend. Vegetarian options will be available. Please send any dietary restrictions to Brian by COB Monday, 21 November 2011. See PAYMENTS below.

There will be a group dinner Thursday evening, 1 December. It is assumed that all meeting participants will attend. Vegetarian options will be available. Please send any dietary restrictions to Brian by COB Monday, 21 November 2011. More information to follow. See PAYMENTS below.

PAYMENTS
Under the terms of its cooperative agreement with NOAA, UCAR is prohibited from providing meals to federal participants and those on federal travel orders. Federal attendees and those on federal travel orders are requested to contribute $34.00 towards the cost of their lunch and the dinner. This amount respresents the Lunch and Dinner amounts of the GSA CONUS M&IE rate for Buford, GA.

Federal attendees and those on federal travel orders will need to go online and pay (see MAKING A FEDERAL PAYMENT below). You then claim full per diem for Buford on your travel voucher. UCAR accepts both Visa and MasterCard only.

MAKING A FEDERAL PAYMENT
For Federal Participants and those on Federal Travel Orders, to make your payment:

1. Please proceed to https://www.fin.ucar.edu/epayment/startEpayments.do
2. Under "Payment Select", click on "Other Items" and then from the drop-down menu, scroll down to "NIDIS ACF Meeting - 1-2 December 2011 - Reg. Fee", and then click on the "Next" button.
3. On the following screen, enter the amount ("34" for $34.00) and fill in your billing information.
4. When you are ready, click on the "Start Process" button.
5. You will receive an e-mail confirming your payment.

AIRPORT INFORMATION
Most attendees will fly in and out of Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

TRANSPORTATION BETWEEN AIRPORT AND HOTEL
Daytime Shuttle provides service from the Atlanta airport to the Legacy Lodge at Lake Lanier Islands Resort. For 3 or more people traveling together the fare is $55/person each way. For a single person, the fare is $95/person each way. The Daytime Shuttle counter is located in stall #11 in the Ground Transportation Area. Follow the signs for Ground Transportation when you leave the Baggage Claim area. If you have difficulty finding their location, please visit the Information Booth in the Airport or call them at 770-939-2337 for help with directions.
