The deadline for making a room reservation is 2 April 2004. After that date, reservations will be accepted on a space- and rate-available basis only.

The Group Reference Code is "UCAR".

Room rate: $180.00 (GSA CONUS Lodging, Monroe Country) + 11.5% tax/night ($200.70 total). The hotel requires an advance payment of one night's room and tax ($200.70) at the time the reservation is made.

Please note that there is a mandatory daily resort fee of $10.00/day and a daily Housekeeper Gratuity of $3.00/day.

Check-in time: after 4:00 p.m.
Check-out time: prior to 11:00 a.m.

Cancellation Policy:

• Reservations cancelled prior to 7 days from the scheduled arrival date will incur a cancellation service charge of $50.00, with the refunds being $150.70.
• Reservations cancelled within 7 days from the scheduled arrival date will incur a cancellation charge equal to the first and last nights' room rate and tax, $401.40.

Transportation to Duck Key

According to the hotel there are basically two options to get to Duck Key from Miami: car service, shuttle service and rental car:

• Key Shuttle - 305-289-9997
  
  departs Miami Int'l Airport every 2 hours, from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.
  fare to Duck Key is $50.00 one-way or $90.00 roundtrip
  must make reservation 2-3 days in advance
  Visa, MasterCard and Discover accepted
  catch shuttle in Ground Transportation area, ground level, near bus stops
  multi-fare discounts (2 people in same party = $80, 3 people = $110)

• Rental Car - According to the hotel staff, the drive to Hawk's Cay from Miami International Airport takes approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes.

UCAR-supported participants or invited guests for either Working Group meeting should forward their travel preferences to Brian Jackson, who will handle travel arrangements and hotel reservations for supported travelers:

• preferred date and departure time
• preferred departure airport
• you name as it appears on your driver's license
• any frequent flyer program account numbers
• seating preference
• your preferred return date and departure time
